Delivery of the 20,000th CFM56 power transmission

With the delivery of the 20,000th CFM56 engine by CFM International (a 50/50 joint company of General Electric and Snecma), Hispano-Suiza also passes the historic milestone of 20,000 CFM56 power transmissions produced and delivered to Snecma (Safran group). This milestone reflects the company's 30 years of experience and excellence in the design, production and support of power transmissions. Hispano-Suiza produced the first accessory gearbox in 1979. Since then, CFM56 power transmissions have logged a fleet-wide total of more than 450 million flight-hours, with exceptional dispatch reliability. These power transmissions are used on all Boeing 737 NG models, and more than half of all Airbus A318, A319, A320 and A321 models. Building on this broad-based experience and expertise, Hispano-Suiza is continuing to support CFM alongside Snecma and General Electric, by offering innovative power tapping and transmission solutions for the next-generation LEAP-X engine.
